Vision4Kids was set up out of an awareness of a growing need for children to be understood in a new way.
The old philosophy of keeping children separate, not respecting their views, and labelling them as guilty until proven innocent does not help create healthy and sustainable relationships.
Whilst working with children, I have learnt that lack of confidence has been one of the most noticeable themes in their lives. Confidence in the world to keep them safe and give them what they need, confidence in their parents to understand and believe them, and confidence in themselves to know that they can accomplish everything they are capable of.
It is my intention to support children whilst they rediscover their self-worth, realise their dreams and take the space that is their birthright.
As a child’s advocate, I also work with parents in order to help shift their awareness so that they can honour and support their children. This often requires an openness to see how children act out unseen parts of us in order that we become more conscious of what we need to heal.
